Many students view volunteering as a university application-filler— another fancy ornament on their CV. We want students to recognise that the act of providing service is so much more than that. BRIDGE’S primary aim is to provide the means for students to build character from a young age and experience the feeling of dedicating themselves to a good cause. Most importantly, we don’t want students to view volunteering as a one-time event; we place emphasis on consistency in pledging service to others.
Many non-profit organisations are often reliant on donations and lacking in manpower, especially in our post-Covid economy. Small charity organisations often struggle to generate enough profit to sustain themselves. Thus, we formed BRIDGE. We will be encouraging the Malaysian international school community to be at the forefront of a good cause through providing them with convenient and regular volunteering opportunities.
